Women may use the Internet to launch new enterprises, sell products to new markets, find market-competitive jobs, access education, health, and financial services, and promote information exchange by developing their digital abilities. This MoU signing attempts to close the gender gap in Pakistan’s ICT use.
Huawei will help PTA start projects to eliminate the digital gender gap by raising awareness and training females in digital skills. In this approach, Huawei wants to train 500 women in 2022. The company also wants to help PTA host programmes, trainings, and activities to promote Gender Inclusion in ICTs. Women will be included in ICT academies, CSR programmes, and low-cost tools, phones, and gadgets for females to help with easy learning.
In the ever-growing digital ecosystem, guaranteeing inclusion is crucial in order to bring about significant improvements in all fields.
This aligns with Huawei’s objective to link every person, house, and organisation to the digital world. Thus, the company is focused on providing ubiquitous connectivity and equal network access to lay the groundwork for an intelligent world that will enable ubiquitous cloud and intelligence, as well as powerful digital platforms to help all industries and organisations become more efficient and dynamic. This includes reinventing the user experience using AI, giving users more personalised and intelligent experiences at home, travel, work, entertainment, and fitness & health.
With its PTA collaboration, further activities are expected to ensure a more digital Pakistan.
