After a “successful” participation in the LEAP Riyadh information technology exhibition earlier this month, Pakistani water management solutions firm Asani.io is planning an expansion to Saudi Arabia, the startup’s founder said on Sunday.
Fifteen startups from Pakistan were among 40 Pakistani companies that participated at LEAP Riyadh, a worldwide platform for the innovation ecosystem that brings together entrepreneurs, innovators, and business executives who want to explore the Middle Eastern marketplace.
In an interview with Arab News, Ansab Naqvi, the creator of Asani.io, said that LEAP Riyadh has been essential in helping the company enter the Saudi market. Within the next eight months, we intend to have agreements in place with the two corporations to build up a joint execution partnership in the Kingdom.

This was the first time Pakistani IT companies participated in any event hosted in Saudi Arabia in partnership with the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Pakistani Ministry of IT and Telecom and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) (TDAP).
